Senator Hillary Clinton has been a loyal Democrat for most of her life. Her husband was given the highest office in America due to efforts by Democrats. There is no question both Clintons draw upon past success in Arkansas and the presidency as the spark which generates their current drive for power.I heard a statement about the Clintons last night which resonates in my mind, "there is one thing about the Clintons, losing never got in their way to continue fighting."The beauty of baseball with its season of 162 games is that one loses at least 50 times a but must go on.Unfortunately, in politics, if you lose, that game is over and you must wait until the next game in order to try winning. The campaign game is over. The question I would love posing Hillary Clinton or her supporters is: "which is of greater importance in your mind-gaining the nomination or not getting it and watching the Democratic party win in November?I am a Democrat.I have been voting for 55 years and never once have I voted for a Republican. If Clinton got the nomination, I would vote for her. Why?Senator John McCain voted with George Bush over 85% of the time.If he became president, he would appoint at least two new judges, maybe three, to the Supreme Court which would ensure a conservative anti-civil liberty majority for the first third of the 21st century. If he wins, there will not be a national health insurance plan, and the present anti-senior citizen drug plan will continue in place. If he becomes president, nothing will be done to rebuild our infrastructure or become serious about global warming. If he becomes president, conservative pro-business appointees will be appointed to government boards and commissions. My question to Hillary and her supporters is: Given these possibilities, how can you risk a McCain victory? The Clinton campaign has reached the end of the road.To proceed any further is to undertake a road leading nowhere but assisting John McCain. At this point, my feelings, my views, my beliefs, must take second place to the needs of the United States and the world.I suspect such thinking has never been part of the mindset of the Clintons.Anyway, Obama won an overwhelming victory in North Carolinia while Hillary Clinton squeaked by in Indiana by a few thousand votes.A majority of people under 65 voted for Obama in Indiana but Clinton took the senior citizens by a large margin. In any presidential election, seniors will vote for Democrats.Senator Clinton, for once in your life place the interests of the United States over your own ego needs.George Bush has a way of getting nations of the world angry at him.Indian politicians are furious at his remarks the cause of rising food prices and shortages was caused by the growth of an Indian middle class which is now eating much better.Hindu politicians are demanding a vote in Parliament to condemn Bush and, as a member of the Trade Ministry put it, "Bush has never been known for his knowledge of economics."Bush said about 350,000,000 people were in the middle class in India.

Bush said about 350,000,000 people were in the middle class in India.According to the Mckinsey Global Institute, the figure is actually closer to 50,000,000.The International Olympic Committee has issued a tough statement to athletes making clear their behavior will be carefully scrutinized and that means their appearance, clothing, gestures and written and oral statements. They were warned not to make statements that were political in nature.Isn't it wonderful the Olympics bring nations of the world together to partake of peaceful competition. The Egyptian government has arrested April Esraa Abdel-Fattah for organizing a Facebook plan of action to have a strike against the Egyptian government's attack on civil rights.Naturally, she was arrested and held in jail for 16 days.An Egyptian analyist, Amr Elshobaki, pointed out: "it is unwise, not to say impossible, to deal with Egypt's virtual community with the same security-oriented mindset the state uses in confronts on-the-ground challenges."Ms. Fattah says she no longer has a computer and will stay out of any further Facebook activities. We in America are oblivious of the impact of switching from food raising to using grains for ethanol. For example, in East Malaysia, they are down to only having enough rice for 1.5 months. If rice exporting nations cut back, there will be tremendous problems in many parts of Asia. When will America elect a president who is serious about finding alternative energy sources? The lunacy of Myanmar continues. The number of deaths from the cyclone has been stated as anywhere from 15,000 up to 70,000.The Bangkok Post says planes from Thailand were not allowed to land that UN experts who supposedly would handle relief aid have not been allowed into Burman by the military junta. These two bit thugs are not doing a damn thing to assist thousands of people who were hit by a cyclone!Great disappointment from Australia where newly elected Prime Minister Kevin Rudd has backed off from pushing gay rights such as legal marriage. All he will support is eliminating some discriminatory government rules and regulations. It appars the damn Chinese weapon shipment to President Robert Mugabe, dictatorial ruler of Zimbabwe has finally arrived. The Chinese can shout about nationalism, but as a great nation they have moral obligatons to oppressed people of the world. On that point, China should receive an "F" for disregarding moral rights.Did you know only 1.2% of government supervisory positions in Japan are held by women? It is a male chauvinist society. My parents were in the great immigration from eastern and southern Europe who arrived in the opening decades of the 20th century. The overwhelming majority were unskilled people.Great Britain just issued new regulations saying only peopl with high educational and professional skills would be allowed to enter Great Britain.Thank God my parents came when unskilled workers were considered valuable to the growth and development of society.Interesting Headlines:Sweden, The Local: "Great Pinocchio Arrives In Sweden" I didn't know George Bush was going to Sweden.Denmark, Copenhagen Post: "Calling All Male Genitalia" Report to police headquarters on Vrigin Street.(that's real bad)Australia, The Age: "Swimming Against the Tide" Hillary Clinton performance in swimming for the prize.Kuwait, Arab Times: "Baghdad's Iceman Cometh" He came, he saw, he got burned, and he left.Asia, Himalaya Times: "Mandela Still On US Terror List" I gather the WMD are hidden in his home.Peace and Love
