RFA tagged me to submit my top 5 favorite albums of all time.?If you don?t know RFA, he can always be found earblissing to some cool ass tunes I?ve most likely never heard of.?Sometimes, I notice he?s listening to something I recognize and for about 3 minutes I feel "in" with him..never lasts long though ?cause before I know it he?s back in his underground music grotto ~ and I?m on the outside, merely pressing my nose to the glass ear poppin?to some mainstream junk.?I know he will read this and markedly laugh and point at my choices...Mind you, I am not declaring the best music of ALL time, just the best music of MY time, in MY world.?It was tough narrowing my selections to five but I did ~ with a few honorable mentions thrown in at the end.5.Elliott Smith ~ New Moonreleased post humously in 2007Favorite Track *tie* Whatever (Folk Song in C) & Georgia GeorgiaSteven Paul "Elliott" Smith (August 6, 1969 October 21, 2003) was an American singer-songwriter and musician.Smith had a distinctive vocal style characterized by his "whispery, spiderweb-thin delivery" and use of multi-tracking to create vocal harmonies.Smith battled with depression, alcoholism and drug addiction for years, and these topics often appeared in his lyrics. Not gonna lie, if you weren?t depressed before you listen, you willbe afterwards ~ Not for everyone, particularly those on the brink. At age 34, he died in Los Angeles, California from two stab wounds to the chest. The autopsy evidence was inconclusive as to whether the wounds were self-inflicted.Smith was nominated for an Academy Award for "Miss Misery" in 1996 (the year of Titanic & Celine Dion?s heart going on)4.John Mayer ~ ContinuumFavorite Track ~ BeliefJohn Mayer is an American guitarist and singer-songwriter.Mayer began his career performing mainly acoustic rock and pop, but gradually began a transition towards the blues genre in 2005 by collaborating with renowned blues artists such as B. B. King and forming the John Mayer Trio. The blues influence can be heard on his album Continuum, released in September 2006.

After the break-up, both Hazard and Dragonetti continued writing songs, and because Hazard still recorded her music in Dragonetti?s home studio, the pair quickly discovered the songs they had written were about each other and their sadness in having broken up.Knowing this, the duo decided to work on a few songs together and eventually got back together.
