| Ok, so for those of you who don't know what I'm talking about the subject of this blog is running, fear and professionalism.?The title was take from Brian Harnois' infamous running incident at Eastern State Pen where he cried out and ran like a little bitch (Brian is on my friends list, so are the other guys from TAPS, though I highly doubt that they are reading this I just have to say, sorry Brian, I just call it like I see it, by the way, if you are reading, chime in!)Anyhow, I'm not going to lie, I have ran, I have screamed and lots of other things that I'm ashamed of.?Truth be told, some times shit just gets too scary.?I have never done it a someone's house though.?Here's a little background, we investigate a lot of urban legends, so this means we usually wind up at parks, cemeteries, abandoned places, etc.?One incident happened at the Whaley house.?Something was trying it's damndest to scare us away, and it almost worked.?Here is something that I don't really like to through out there, but it will help you understand my perspective of things.?I'm a sensative.? |
| I'm a sensative.?No my group doesn't follow me around oohing and ahhing for my abilities.?I usually don't say anything unless something really big happens.?The suck ass part about being?a sensative is that everyone does not see what you see.?I usually see things in a shadowy, arura photo type form.?At the Whaley house, there was someone in the back window, pounding on it, and it looked like the ghosties in the haunted mansion.?When I saw this I suggested that we leave.?Noises where coming from the stairs above and there were pebbles being tossed.?I didn't run, but I pleaded to leave.?No one listened, and we got killer pics.? |
| No one listened, and we got killer pics.?The other time I bolted was at the Exchange Building in Utah.?There was a pounding occuring on the second floor window.?I saw something really ugly, and it wanted to come in, it wasn't a ghost, and by no means was it human.?Jymie bolted as well, I didn't blame her.?The third time was at an undisclosed cemetery.?All hell broke loose, thats all I will say.?I told everyone that we needed to leave becasue we are not wanted here, and if we don't something bad will happen.?The air was thick and everything felt heavy.?I told them that we needed to hurry because whenever something goes down in this place, the train came, and if it did, we would be stuck.? |
| I told them that we needed to hurry because whenever something goes down in this place, the train came, and if it did, we would be stuck.?We left and the train came, we were stuck and something was on our heals for sure.?We the train finally left we calmly walked out, but other people were walking in.?A few minutes later, they ran out scared out of their minds.So here's the deal, I'm pretty brave when it comes to all this stuff, so here is a rule to follow, when the creepy, scary people get scared, you should leave.?I know that we are in this field to investigate that which is not normal, but if it's going to scar us mentally, it's not worth it.?If it's going to make you crap your pants, it's not worth it.?Fear can make you do some stupid things, and if?you are scared, you should admit it.?If you can ride it out, them do so, but only because you want to, not because someone said you have to.? |
| If you can ride it out, them do so, but only because you want to, not because someone said you have to.?I don't run as much anymore.?I guess when you have been thrown down a small set of stairs, fondled, scratched and had your hair pulled by something that was not there, you're over it.?Also, I've been pretty dead on when it comes to leaving a sceen.?While we aren't breaking the law, it does look strange to come up on some people with flash lights and cameras.and aluminum equipment cases.?So sometime I get the feeling that the cops are coming and I have them wrap things up, only to see the cops come by as soon as we leave.So remember if you have to leave a scean, leave calmly and tell someone.?If you are scared, admit it.?If you feel uncomfrotable say so, and if the resident spooky, creepy person of your group is spooked, by you should considr leaving.All the best! |
