?As I tuned into the morning news, I saw something that made my stomach turn: the insanely religious Michelle Dugger and her husband (no joke) Jim Bob feel it is their personal godly duty to populate America as if we were trying to catch up with China.Duggar Family Expecting 18th ChildYes, EIGHTEEN children. In all honesty, I think this type of selfish behavior under the masqurade of 'divine inspiration' is all the more repulsive.Resources on our lil' earth are being stretched very flippin' thin -- and though 18 children may just seem like 'a few[understatement] too many' right now to us, in 20 years when those children have children (2.6 is average) there will be approximately 46.8 kids and when those kids have kids, the number will be 121.68 more offspring.Multiply that shit out and try to realize the scope of this kind of thing...Total number of Duggers in 40yrs?2 (Parents)+18 (kids)+46.8 (grandbabies) + 121.68 (great grandkids) = 188.48 Duggers from this gene pool. And, that is only if the children follow national averages.Which is unlikely... if any of them follow in the footsteps of thier parents, it could potentially be much worse. This is not the damn 16th century where infant mortality rates were sky high, a massive assload of kids was needed to keep the family farm going, or more kids were needed to ensure adequate care for their parents in old age. |
This is not the damn 16th century where infant mortality rates were sky high, a massive assload of kids was needed to keep the family farm going, or more kids were needed to ensure adequate care for their parents in old age.Medical technology has advanced -- and along with it should come OUR responsibility to balance our resources to that which is leeching them. It's so goddamn irresponsible for people to breed without considering the global consequences.?So on mothers day, I'd like to say thanks to Jim Bob and Michelle for personally doing their part to hasten starvation, famine and death for the less fortunate.I am sure your kids will be able to fix the overpopulation problem when they grow up and realize their parents didn't rely on reason for family planning, only good ol' biblical fornication. On a more sappy note, I found an old poem I wrote for about my son.Seems fitting for today [despite the fact it's not very good, and entirely corny :-P].Happy Mothers Day to all the responsible, compassionate, and dedicated mommy's out there!the hardest battle ever fought drives my purpose, defines my spirit often leaving ?me warn n' wilted melting my core with gentle smirks continually unraveling ?stitches of sanity voracious learning set aflame inner passion occasionally catching me without answers fast paced feet met with speedy mind soothing compassion erases the sorrow sloppy kisses and toddler giggles obliterate outward inflicted heartache innocence makes gives the aged youth unconditional devotion radiating always giving way to perspective, gratitude frame a life a life once adrift my heart, my vitality, my everything! |
