| I was playing in my blog with a reader and she brought up the MISINFORMATION that Obama's AGAINST gays but that Hillary LOVE gays and she's TOTALLY in SUPPORT of gay marriage/civil unions.?What is a girl to do??Prove my young reader wrong and take a back seat to anal kegel exercises.?LOLOL?--Oh man.?I HAD to say that!?On a more serious note...Why am I blogging this?Because I went blog whoring and came upon a blog, by a lesbian and posed the question, "If OBAMA is the FAMILY and GAY RIGHTS candidate, why are lots of gays for Hillary?"And because this Bitch rye-cheer, CARES about YOU--gay, lesbian or otherwise!She nor anyone took me to task.So I'm here hoping you guys can help me get this up there and informed some misinformed gays and lesbians who REALLY believe Hillary will help them out.The federal Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) defines marriage as a legal union between one man and one woman for purposes of all federal laws, and provides that states need not recognize a marriage from another state if it is between persons of the same sex.Forty states have their own Defense of Marriage Acts (DOMAs).Obama OPPOSED it while Hllary SUPPORTED it.He opposed it because the act LIMITED federal laws to ONLY heterosexual couples.He OPPOSED it because if you got married in Cali and then wanted to move to TN, TN would NOT have to accept the marriage as legit if it's a state that SUPPORTS DOMA--which will render the civil union/marriage NULL and VOID in that state.He OPPOSED it because he KNOWS how important EQUALITY is and how IMPORTANT it is to have their union/marriage RECOGNIZED in EVERY STATE thus rendering the act UNCONSTITUTIONAL.Hillary SUPPORTED the act.She wants only STATES to recognize the unions.She wants STATES to decide on whether they should allow marriages or NOT.She FAILS to realize that historically the FEDS are the ones to get people on board with legislations.Hillary UPHELD DOMA because she doesn't give a FLYING FUCK about gays.The religious RIGHTS WANT and SUPPORT DOMA--That is the ONLY reason why Hillary stood behind it, other than she doesn't give a shit about gays and lesbians.http://www.domawatch.org/index.php Hillary is playing politics with people who are very vulnerable.The gay community, much like African Americans, are having their civil rights violated by not being allowed and/or treated as second class citizens that don't deserve equal protection and equal rights.Obama wants to see that EVERYONE is treated alike. |
